Don't forget to clear your search

Use the Clear button on the search page in between looking at different records in PeopleSoft. The Clear button removes all of the search criteria, even the easy to miss things like a single digit (think career number in Program Plan). Not clearing all of the search criteria could inhibit your complete view of subsequent records.

Working in Peoplesoft: it's just like reading a book

Just as with a book, when working in PeopleSoft it is important to remember to work from left to right, top to bottom. If working in a component with multiple pages, such as program plan, start on the first page and save after making all of your entries on all pages. In doing this, you will avoid red fields and other errors.
